Job title International Aid / Cooperation Officer - Horizontal Coordination & Geographic Desk (Congo Basin country) Domains Generic domain Intermediate domain Specific domain Sensitive job No Overall purpose Within the geographical unit, under the supervision of the Head of Sector/Deputy Head of Unit/ Head of Unit, as relevant, contribute to the coordination, monitoring and implementing of horizontal priorities of the Unit while ensuring the programming, implementation and follow-up of the EU partnership with one country of the Congo Basin.
Supports the preparation and implementation of the multiannual programming, contributes to the formulation and monitoring of cooperation programmes, ensures close coordination with the EU Delegation and relevant Commission services, and contributes to the preparation of briefings, reports and policy documents. The post also contributes to the Unit's horizontal coordination tasks, including inter-service coordination, planning, monitoring of strategic priorities and reporting.

- POLICY COORDINATION
- Engage in the coordination and implementation of the Unit's horizontal priorities, ensuring consistency with Commission policies and strategic objectives.
- Contribute to the coordination and quality control processes related to programming, implementation and monitoring of NDICI and other relevant financial instruments.
- Participate in inter-service consultations and coordination meetings, providing written and oral contributions as appropriate.
- Collect, analyse and synthesise information on cross-cutting issues relevant to the Unit's activities.
- Contribute to briefing requests, policy notes and reports for senior management.
- GENERAL PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
- Contribute to the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the multiannual programming for one country of the Congo Basin.
- Take part in the identification, formulation and implementation of Action Documents and financing proposals in close cooperation with the EU Delegation and relevant Commission services.
- Contribute to the preparation and organisation of coordination meetings, regional seminars and ad hoc meetings related to the partnership.
- Participate in consultations with relevant stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of cooperation programmes.
- Support the preparation of annual planning exercises and contribute to the coordination of the programme pipeline.

Job-Related experience:at least 3 years Qualifier:essential Experience in development cooperation, programme management and policy coordination, including cooperation with partner countries and/or EU Delegations. Experience in programming, project implementation and coordination of multiple stakeholders would be an asset. Experience in monitoring, reporting and evaluation of cooperation programmes would be an advantage.
